Qualified instructors
Every instructor brings advanced training, creativity, and relentless enthusiasm to poolside so that swimmers feel supported at every splash.
Leadership & training
Emma has taught since 2007 and took Duck N' Dive over in summer 2022 after five years on the coaching team. She keeps inventing new drills, themed weeks, and mascots so every lesson feels fresh, safe, and engaging.
She personally trains every instructor and assistant through our in-house programme while also leading admin and development squads—so the Duck N' Dive standard you see poolside is pure Emma.
Lucy qualified in summer 2022 and now leads instruction five days a week. She's our SEN & Disability lead, development squad coach, baby and preschool specialist, and part of the admin crew.
Working closely with families, Lucy adapts every drill to a swimmer's confidence, ability, and sensory needs so lessons stay inclusive, upbeat, and full of purpose.
Coaching talent
Mia first swam with Duck N' Dive aged seven, raced competitively from nine, and returned at sixteen as an assistant before earning her Level 2 plus Baby & Preschool qualifications.
She still swims at masters level, bringing a bank of drills, stroke knowledge, and race experience that lifts our senior and junior squads.
Beth is the newest instructor-in-training and ready to start her Level 2 course. She's already a favourite with our younger swimmers thanks to her calm, encouraging poolside manner.
Once qualified she'll run her own sessions, supported by Emma's training pathway so that every class matches the Duck N' Dive standard.
Dedicated assistants
Here at Duck N' Dive our assistants are a valued and vital part of our team. Having our assistants in the water allows us to provide children with much smaller ratios ensuring our swimmers get the most out of their lessons.
Not only is it vital for our swimmers, but also for our assistants as it ensures they get the important training they need in preparation for taking their courses in the future.
Next up is Nancy. Nancy is Nola's younger sister and has followed in her footsteps, joining the team in 2023.
Just like Nola, Nancy has been swimming since three months old and also swam a mile in a mermaid tail to raise money for charity. Nancy is a natural with the children, knowing when to offer support and when to allow the children to have more independence. She is a fan favourite of lots of our children and her knowledge and loveable nature makes her a great member of our team.
This is Nola. Nola is an assistant at Duck N' Dive and has been a member of our team since day one. Nola has been swimming since three months old and has even swam a mile in a mermaid tail to raise money for Alzheimer's.
Nola's vast swimming knowledge means she has all the tools to help us aid your children in getting the best sessions possible. Kind, supportive, and knowledgeable, Nola is a huge asset to our team.
